FAQs

Got a question?

Do you have credit card and EFTPOS services?

Yes. All our clinics have this service available to you.

Do you Bulk Bill?

Yes, only for patients with a GP referral under an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan or Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan.

What Should I Wear?

What you feel most comfortable moving in. If you have an injury, you will need to allow the therapist to assess that particular part of your body. If it is your lower limb, wearing or bringing shorts would be appropriate.

Do I Need A Referral From My Doctor?

No referral is necessary to see our allied health professionals if you are a private patient. If you have been injured at work and have a Workcover claim or have a Third-Party injury from a motor vehicle accident, you will need a GP referral to see a physio, EP or OT.

Should I Bring Anything with Me?

If you have any X-rays, MRIs, operation reports etc, this would be fantastic to bring along. The more information you can give to your therapist, the more accurate and thorough they can be in providing you with the best possible treatment for you on the day.

Should I Bring My Private Health Card?

Yes, if you have private health insurance bring your card along on the day of treatment and we can simply swipe your health card through our HICAPS machine and then all you do is pay the gap fee. The gap fee varies between health funds and the level of cover you have with that particular fund.

Do You Have A Cancellation Policy ?

Yes, we have a 24-hour cancellation/no-show policy.

No-show to your appointment – 100% charge of consultation

Less than 24 hours notice – 50% charge of consultation

We highly value both your time and our therapists' time. Your appointment has been specifically allocated for you or your child, with therapy prepared in advance for the session. However, we understand that there may be occasions when you need to cancel or reschedule appointments. We kindly request that you notify us at least 24 hours prior to the appointment if any changes are necessary. This allows us to offer the time to other families on the waiting list for an appointment.

How Long Is The Appointment?

  • Your initial consultation will take 45-60 minutes since we need to find out about your injury and history, assess your body and formulate with you a plan on how to manage your condition.

  • Follow-up appointments are either 30 or 45 minutes and will allow us to re-assess, treat, and progress your management.

  • We have longer appointments if you think your condition requires more time - feel free to ask the receptionist or select longer appointment times when booking online.

How many treatment sessions will I need?

The number and frequency of treatment sessions vary depending on factors such as your injury type, pain complexity, and work/sporting commitments. During your initial consultation, your therapist will provide you with an approximate estimate of the number and frequency of sessions required to achieve your recovery goals.

At My Recovery, we aim to maximize your time and investment by offering comprehensive advice and education. Along with manual therapy, we will incorporate exercise and self-management strategies to reduce your reliance on passive treatments.
